Christmas has Passed, New Year is Sneaking

Not like the other years, this Christmas seemed to be meaning-less. This 2011's Christmas became just another National Holiday. Which actually didn't feel like one because the Dec 25th fell right on SUNDAY. The day when we all having day off! With or without National Holiday.
This wasn't also my first Christmas since working. I've passed once. So don't know why the atmosphere of Christmas seemed just faded away.

Didn't like the other Christmas we've, okay I've been through before 2011. The previous Christmas were delightful. Lotsa fun, been deary waited since months before, and other expressions of joy and happiness on Christmas day.
But, like it or not, the Christmas day has passed almost a week ago. With not so many mark left inside this heart. And before we, or I even realize what is it, or how could it happened, the New Year's already sneaking on the edge. Waiting to be celebrated!

Just writing here.
have a joyful day, then.

Unconditional Love

Unconditional Love. Image by: Eva Tarida. Eva Tarida Blog

Unconditional Love. This term is very well known IMO. Clearly that the "unconditional" word already explained that there'll be no terms and condition follow along that "Love" word. Which means, to love unconditionally. To love without any of whys, whens, and because. To love with 'even though". Which I believe no man could ever done that. No man. I repeat Not-Any-Single-person could!.
Disagree? Well, that's fine. We have the right to have opinions (as long as we express them wisely and in order). Everybody has the right to agree, disagree, and doesn't care.

I surfed once on the internet, and found a blog. There she (the writer of the blog is female) also wrote about this unconditional love. And put herself as the one who loves her boyfriend (well now, ex-boyfriend) unconditionally. And to strengthen her writings and opinion, she put that Bruno mars' Just The Way You Are song at the end. And she gave examples like: she wasn't able to cook, but one time she woke up very early, went to the market, bought some ingredients and started to cook for her boyfriend. At last, she said that she with all her big-heartedly say "have a great life and congratulations" of her ex-boyfriend with his new girlfriend.

Unconditional Love (?). Between parents and Children?. Eva Tarida image. Eva Tarida Blog

And do you guys think that paragraph above really explains "Unconditional Love?." I could barely say NO. No matter how loving you are, no matter how deep you love someone, how big your love to them, how great your sacrifice to your loved ones (whoever they are), I still can say it is NOT an unconditional love. Wh? As easy as this, answer these questions, you say yo love him/her, but when they hurt you do you still get mad and say your anger? When they left you, do you feel very hurt and write some nice and easy love poems to remind them how great you both were, how big your sacrifices were? Isn't that you love them because they were chasing you, saying all great things about you you were seduced and then loved them back? Isn't that you love them because they were on your "my type of ideal boyfriend/girlfriend"? And soooo many other questions.

Do you now understand why I did say that I believe no man could have done this Unconditional Love. No one. Only GOD who is able to do that. Period.

Quote of my life: Je suis condamné à être libre - Jean Paul Sartre

Dear Santa.. I'll Buy My Own Gift #Joke

Since  the atmosphere of Christmas is everywhere, I also read a nice joke about it.
If You remember the song Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, which also covered by Michael Bolton, there come the terms and condition if you want a gift from Santa: Be Good. :)
Well, this is of course half true half not. half true, that it's good to be good. it's true that you can get a gift (or two) by being good. but it's not true that Santa will climb down your chimney and bring your gift(s) :D

By The way, the joke is about that:
A boy preparing his wishlist for Santa this Christmas. he has to prepare himself and make sure that Santa knows he's a good boy for this whole year.
here's his letter-to-be-prepared for Santa;
"Dear Santa I've been good all year! Ok most of the time. I Mean once in a while. Oh... F*ck it, I'll buy my own sh#t."

LOL!! I believe he throw away that paper to the bin. :D

In My Shoes

In My Shoes. Eva Tarida image. Eva Tarida Blog.

I'm writing this to remind everyone, including me. That everybody has their own reason to decide a choice. Everybody has their own thought to choose an option instead of another.

I'm writing this to remind everyone, including me. That never judge too much on first sight. We might have a first impression. But never let it ruin everything.

I'm writing this to remind everyone, including me. That we all are human being. Have flaws here and there. Have something calls dilemma. Have wrong decision sometimes. have stubborn sometimes.

I'm writing this to remind everyone, including me. That everybody has their own path of life. the future and the past. What they've been through, what they're dealing with now, what they'll go through later. Even twins are never the exact 100% same in every single aspect.

I'm writing this to remind everyone, including me. That the idiom "Don't judge a book by its cover" is meant for both condition. Sometimes the cover might awesome with horrible content, or the cover might disgusting but with excellent content.

I'm writing this to remind everyone, including me. That there's always an IN MY SHOES statement to be heard, to be said, to be listened, to be on thought, to be understood. Walk a mile in my shoes first. Then you have the right to say a word about me, what I am doing, what I am dealing with, which one I've chosen, what i am going to do, where I am going to go, and else...

We might never give a shit to one's history of their reaction or act. But no matter what, we still have to understand. You might never know, when the turns come to you.

The Damned United

This post is just a teaser.
Me and my boyfriend are football maniacs. We love watching football/soccer, the games, the players, the analysis, the rumors, the news, the movie about it, etc.

Well, beside GOAL, GOAL 2, GOAL 3, and Green Street Hooligan, there is also one good Football movie, entitled: The Damned United. NOT Manchester United, but Leeds United. I don't like MU by the way. The only thing I like on MU is David Beckham. Period.

Okay, back to The Damned United. My boyfriend and I searched for this movie all the way. I surfed also in the internet, but all I got was "Sorry, Sold out" :( But then, for the sake of big curiosity and desire-fullfilness, I surfed more and more, and I found this website. Ahahahaa.. Yeah! Thanks GOD!

Exactly on Dec 7th, 2011, the DVD arrived safely at home. I watched it for around 30 minutes only. I was just got back from watching the Mr. Big concert :p so, i was too tired to watched it full.
The first 30 minutes was amazing. Please wait a while so that I can post the full review and opinion :D

MR. BIG #ArthursDay

Eva Tarida on Guinness Mr. Big Arthursday - Stage. Eva Tarida image
 WOOHOOO!!
After Firehouse concert has done last year, I am heading to Mr. Big concert :D
Read an update on the twitter, me and my friend, San-san suddenly connected each other and contacted each other that Mr. Big would held a concert in Surabaya!  Followed the updates from @Guinnessid , San-san checked the Rajakarcis.com to booked the pre-sale ticket. There, we got the tickets! My two sisters also joined along to watched the concert.

Anyway, this concert held in 60 countries, Indonesia in one of them, and they chose 4 big cities: Jakarta, Medan, Surabaya, Makassar. This is to commemorate the Arthur Guinness - The founder of Guinness - day.

For short, on Dec 7th, 2011
I asked my boss to left the office earlier. Then I drove back home, got prepared and went to Grand City with my sister to met another friends there. Oh, btw, San-san cancelled her presence due to work matter. So then I overhanded the ticket to another friend. He paid of course :)
There was a very long line of queue. It wasn't just a line, but two very long lines. While we were queuing, one of the committee said that we could directly came in to the concert hall from the mall. So, Half of us went up to the mall and had a queue there. The security check was very strict. But that's very oke with me :) Plus, they didn't allow anyone to smoke during the concert! GREAT! :)

We got a cool rubber bracelet that contained with ID. We have to registered first, then we could took a photo at the photo booth they had. What fun was that the photo could automatically shared on our facebook (registered ones) and would be shown in big screen later. Well, I saw my pict on the big screen several times :D And if we post a tweet using the #ArthursDay hashtag, it'd also shown in the big screen's running text. Saw mine also :D That happened all the way during the show. Plus, if we showed that bracelet, we could got a free one slim can Guinness beer :)

Aaahh.. They also sell the limited edition signed Mr. Big latest original CD. I really wanted to bought it. But, I ran out of money, and not much time to ran down the stairs to withdrew some money from ATM.. HIX. I REGRET THIS SO MUCH!!! :(

OPENING ACT
At first, I thought we'd also have /RIF as the opening act. As I read on @Guinnessid twitter timeline, in Medan, Mr. Big concert was opened by /RIF. I am actually one of /RIF big fans :D. But different city, different surprise! The committee brought us NETRAL!! The crowd was going crazy with Netral rock show! They sang several songs, and ended with the famous nationality-breathed song 'Garuda di Dadaku"

MR. BIG #ArthursDay THE SHOW
After Netral finished their performance the crowd went crazier! We yelled MR. BIG!! MR. BIG!! MR. BIG!! MR. BIG!!. Then, the light went off, Eric Martin (vokal), Paul Gilbert (gitar), Billy Sheehan (bass), dan Pat Torpey (drum) came out and had a check sound. Note: This was also one big reason why people really attracted to came in to MR. BIG concert! They came with the first full team.. AAAAAAAAHHH!!!
Their preparation was a bit long there, but we could enjoyed the video they played on big screen shown the other concert they've done. I saw Westlife, and a bit regretting my self for not attending their concert..

Then, suddenly the lights went ON and MR. BIG is THERE!! They smashed us with "Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy"!! Who doesn't know this song, brothers and sisters?? We sang all along! It was AMAZING!! They had the atmosphere!!
You know what, to watch them live and witnessed the super SOLO SKILLS Performance by Paul Gilbert and Billy Sheehan was just like magic!!!! Paul did around 2 or 3 times solo skill performances. He played like on the way to orgasm! and stopped when he already on 'peak'!! And what the crowd did? We couldn't do anything but surprised, gazed and stared with amazed feeling!! Oh My GOODNESS!!!
And don't forget about Billy! He tapped that bass just like ukulele! Very easy for him! Amazing! And we also got a battle by Paul and Billy on stage!

We cheered all the way there. The tempo in the concert hall was so dynamic. They rocked us and then soothed us with the super songs list. They also greeted us several time with Indonesian language, and replaced 'Thank you" with 'Terima kasih' :) :)
With thousands of tickets sold out, I believe you could imagine how the crowd was! CRAZY!

After several songs, Mr. Big gave us minutes to break. And of course they drank that Guinness beers :D. They acted like the concert has done. But of course we cried for MORE MORE MORE and MOOOOREEE!!! Eric grabbed the mike, paul played the intro, aaaaaand.. 'Hold On Little Girl, show me what he's done to you..." TO BE WITH YOU LIVE ON STAGE!!!!!. And not just stopped right there, they put also WILD WORLD together in a row!!
These two ballads songs, as we all know, were superb!

Finish? uh-huh! Do not underestimate this concert, lads! They suddenly switched the role! Eric to guitar, Paul to Drum, Pat to Bass, and Billy grabbed the mic! New formation!! Super surprised! But they keep surprising us again to let us shocked by switching the role again, and now Pat lead the vocal, everybody!!!!
Wooohoooo!!!!!!!

And before they really left the stage, they gave us some words, and Billy said, "It's glad to eventually come back to Surabaya." :)
