Established in a very unique way on September 4th, 2010, HOME Theater keep getting closer and better.

We are bunch of people who definitely born for Theater!

actually, we were first member of Broomstick Theater, which is one of Student activities in our beloved campus, Petra Christian University. There, our relationship as friends, partners, and another family was built. A lot of ups and downs were happened there. We performed a lot, and held shows a lot. 

Now, after we're graduated, we reunion and decided to make a next step of this Broomstick Theater. Then, a few of us, who already graduated from university held a small cozy meeting. After too much joking and stories telling about our lives each, then we decided to make one community. This one is profitable community. We are doing business. Yes, we're still brand new in this business, but we believe we'll not lost. Then, so, come the idea to name this friendly community after HOME Theater. No other reason, but we're family, and HOME is where we gather, have full comfortable, feel save, and place where we belong!

We had made up our first performance as HOME Theater family. In Mercure Grand Mirama Hotel. We're playing the role of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs. It was so awesome that the people who watched us there gave us such a glorious responses! Even, we can't even stop smiling and acting because the guests asked to have photos together with us.

Now and, we're in progress to another performance.

Teater atau Sinetron?

Dalam kehidupan yang penuh dengan berbagai aspek, seni muncul sebagai penyeimbang hidup kita selain rasio. Seni memiliki beberapa cabang yang sudah sangat kita kenal, contohnya seni musik, seni suara, seni tari, seni lukis, seni pertunjukan, dan lainnya. Salah satu cabang seni yang saat ini sedang sangat menjamur di tanah air adalah seni pertunjukan, baik sinetron, maupun teater. Banyak aktor dan aktris yang tergabung dalam keduanya, atau berpindah dari teater ke sinetron dan sebaliknya. Beberapa nama aktris dan aktor yang sudah sangat kita kenal yaitu Adi Kurdi, Butet Kertaradjasa, Cornelia Agatha, Happy Salma, Sarah Sechan, Wulan Guritno, Rachel Maryam, dan masih ada deretan nama-nama lainnya termasuk ke dalamnya.

Butet Kertaradjasa yang berangkat murni dari teater, mulai dikenal di dunia film Indonesia semenjak ia berperan sebagai salah satu tokoh di drama parodi politik di salah satu stasiun televisi swasta kita. Bahkan, beliau juga bermain dalam salah satu teater politik yang diputar di stasiun televisi swasta kita bersama dengan beberapa aktor teater yang –mungkin- kita tidak pernah tahu atau bahkan kita lihat sebelumnya. Bahkan, baru-baru ini ada suatu pementasan teater yang melibatkan beberapa pesinetron tenar di Indonesia.

Melihat fenomena ini, banyak sekali yang bertanya-tanya, ”Memang, apa sih bedanya teater dan sinetron?”.

Pertanyaan ini sangat sering diutarakan, bahkan oleh para pelaku (pemain teater dan sinetron) sendiri. Pertanyaan ini timbul juga karena ada beberapa pernyataan yang menyatakan bahwa dalam teater, kita dituntut untuk lebih ekspresif, pelatihan-pelatihan untuk menjadi pemain teater dikatakan sangat susah dan berat. Padahal, dalam kenyataannya, yang ditunjukkan dalam pementasan hampir sama dengan sinetron yang ada di televisi-televisi kita. Jadi, sebenarnya, apa sih perbedaannya?

Dari segi definisi kata, teater (theater) berasal dari kata Yunani, Theatron yang berarti ”tempat untuk menonton” adalah salah satu cabang seni pertunjukan yang berkaitan dengan akting atau seni peran di depan penonton dengan menggunakan gabungan dari ucapan, gestur (gerak tubuh), mimik, boneka, musik, tari, dan lain-lain. Teater dapat berbentuk opera, ballet, kabuki, pantomim, taboo, dan lain sebagainya.

Sementara sinema elektronik, yang lebih dikenal dengan akronimnya yaitu sinetron, adalah sandiwara bersambung yang disiarkan oleh stasiun televisi. Sinetron pada umumnya bercerita mengenai kehidupan manusia sehari-hari yang diwarnai oleh konflik. Akhir dari suatu sinetron bisa beragam, tergantung dari penulis skenario.

Dalam pelaksanaannya, sinetron memang lebih fleksibel, karena episodenya dapat diperpanjang berdasarkan kebutuhan, yang salah satunya untuk tujuan komersial. Misalnya, sinetronnya sedang naik daun, banyak iklan yang dipasang, dan berbagai alasan lainnya. Dalam teater, justru kita tidak dapat terlalu memperpanjang ceritanya, karena dapat membuat para penonton cenderung bosan. Dalam penayangan sinetron, ada iklan yang menjadi waktu rehat penonton, sementara dalam teater, penonton dituntut untuk berkonsentrasi pada keseluruhan pertunjukan yang disajikan.

Beberapa perbedaan secara teknis dan cara penyuguhan juga lumayan mencolok dalam teater dan sinetron. Dalam seni teater, pengucapan vokal harus sangat kuat, penggunaan ekspresi emosi harus extreme dan make-up panggung juga harus tegas dan sedikit lebih extreme, karena penampilan dilakukan di atas panggung, sehingga suara, ekspresi dan riasan wajah yang mendukung harus sampai hingga ke penonton di barisan paling belakang. Selain itu, penampilan show dari awal hingga akhir harus sempurna, karena tidak ada jeda maupun pengulangan adegan. Antar pemain harus benar-benar kompak dan slaing mengisi, karena bila salah satu kacau, maka hancurlah seluruh pertunjukkan.

Sementara itu, dalam seni drama sinetron, tidak memerlukan pengucapan vokal yang kuat, karena diperkuat dengan microphone, emosi tidak perlu kuat, karena akan diperkuat oleh kamera yang mengambil secara short shoot atau close up. Make up juga tidak harus berlebih, karena akan diperkuat dengan efek kamera. Setelah itu, adegan dapat diambil secara partial dan dapat diulang bila terjadi suatu kesalahan.

Berdasarkan beberapa ulasan di atas mengenai teater dan sinetron. Dimulai dari definisinya, penerapan, hingga perbedaan secara teknisnya, maka dapat disimpulkan, bahwa teater dan sinetron memanglah dua cabang yang berbeda dari suatu seni pertunjukan, tapi tetap saja merupakan suatu penampilan yang dikemas secara apik sesuai dengan standar masing-masing untuk dinikmati oleh penonton kalangannya masing-masing.(ets)

Apa yang aku sukai. Apa pentingnya sih, bikin tulisan tentang ini? Untuk orang-orang yang kebetulan mampir aja sih, jelas sepertinya tulisan ini nanti "iih, ga penting banget deeh", "eeh emang situ ngartis?" dan kalimat-kalimat se-SPOK itu tadi. hihihii..
Ah, sudahlah, daripada meributkan apa komentar orang nantinya, lebih baik sekaran aku susun dulu nih biar cantik dan menyenangkan untuk dibaca.

-Nasi Goreng a lot! :) Pake sayur sedikit aja, ditambah mie dikit, plus, NO SAMBAL at all.
-Sate Ayam.. hehe enak.. apalagi yang agak garing and bumbunya pas. Coba deh kalo jalan-jalan ke Jogja,
                       di jalanan Malioboro itu kan ada banyak tuh ibu-iu penjual sate. Cobain deh. Asli mantap! :)
-Apel. Buah ini paling mantap deh menurutku. Praktis pula, tinggal cuci bersih, HAP! :)
-Nyamil. Siapa sih yang nggak suka nyemil? Boong aja gitu kalau bilang ga suka. hahaha.. ada pesona
                tersendiri lho kalo nyamil.
-Permen POLO. Saya nggak promosi, tapi beneran nih permen mint emang enaaak.. permen bolong, rasa
                           plong! (katanya ga promosi..huu)
-Pola Snack. Snack lawas keluaran Monde ini tak terkalahkan. hehehe. Agak susah lho, nyarinya di
                     Surabaya. Jadi kalo pas nemu aja, pasti ngeborong.

-Es Teh (and Lemon Tea). Sebenarnya aku doyan minum teh. Banget. Jadi, segala macam bentuknya
                                           deh. Selama cocok di lidah. Ehm.. belakangan ini doyan banget nyruput TongJi
                                            rasa Lemon :)
-Sinom. hahay.. biar kate minuman jejamuan juga kalo sinom sih segar gar gar gaar.. :) Apalagi kalo dingin
              dingin tuh nyeruputnya.
-Komik. Nggak usah ditanya kalau tentang ini deh. Komik dan rekan-rekan sejawatnya, mau kartun,
               karikatur, strip, grafis. Auwwh.... Skripsi barusan aja aku pakai karikatur! hehe.. Kalo bahasa
              gaulnya.."Komik, gueh bangeth githu loohh"
-AC. Milan. The most successful football club!! :) Syaa penggemar AC Milan semenjak Pippo pindah dari Bianconeri ke Rossoneri. Samapai sekarang saya menggilai klub ini!!
-Pena, Penghapus, Tipe-ex, Kertas. Why? Karena saya hobi mengambar. Dengan adanya empat items
            tersebut, saya bisa menggambar apapun deh. Apalagi kalo lagi nganggur jaya :)
-Cokelat. Saya suka banget sama cokelat dan yang berbau-bau rasa cokelat gitu. Roti-roti juga pilihannya
                 pasti rasa cokelat. Saya doyan Silver Queen. Toblerone? Ga enak, aah.. Lebih enak silverqueen.
                 hehe. Ndeso? Biariin..Weekk!
-Keju. Siapa coba yang ga mau ada keju dalam hidangannya? Eehh.. kecuali kalo lai makan soto, rawon,
           dkk gitu lho ya.. Keju ini juga salah satu rasa dan pelengkap yang aku sukai. TeOPe dah!
-Soft Drinks. Nggak sehat? Iya. Enak? Iya juga.
-Indomie Goreng. harus yang mereknya Indomie yaah.. Yang iklannya Indomiiiiieeee Selerakuuuuu.. :)
-Jessica Alba. Kok tiba-tiba muncul nama manusia?masa mau makanan terus?:p Fave actress ever :)

-Natalie Portman. Amazed me! Super!

-"Eileen" name. I will actually use this name for my future daughter :)
- Filippo "Pippo" Inzaghi. I liked him since the 4th grade of Elementary school! The Fortune goddess might loved him too :)

uhm..
it's now my second year on becoming one of Theater activity committee...

and that means that this time is my 2nd time running the open house..
which well..
i also become one of this open house committee..

hufff....

i was sooo ehm.. what should say...
tired.. fed up with another students activities doin!
man!!
they keep asking asking asking asking..

yelling protest and protest and protest..

well, we got problem back there, a few miss are happened..
but, where the other can stay cool with that, there is one that make me sick of them!

bwah,,,
where it's actually not my full responsibility, but yeah.. like usual i always become the one that given those responsibility,,,

fyuuhh..

but thanks to my chief of committee,, and my team for helping me facing the protest one!!

but, well.. those all just suddenly disappear when i come into my own spot, on THEATER ACTIVITY..

hm...

i just suddenly remember our last year..
preparing this open house till midnight..
hehehe..

we are having fun there and a lot of expressions are appear.
well.. i'm just feeling so lucky to have these guys..

and am hoping that they won't be like the former ones..

Pendidikan Moral Melaui Teater

well...
just like the announcement i have spread away before...
that we from Petra Christian University Theater Student activity held a THEATER WEEK event...

a chain of theatrical things did in 1 week. we got POEM COMPETITION on April 30Th, a SEMINAR AND TALK SHOW on May 2ND, and A THEATER PERFORMANCE "INSPEKTUR JENDRAL" on May 3rd....

well...
our seminar and talk show speaker is Mr. ADI KURDI cast as ABAH in Keluarga Cemara...

Theatre is a life..
it having an evolution...
from the stone age til now..
where now, theater no longer get the publican's interests..
they prefer to watch TV or Movie in cinema. but, actually, TV show and Movie is a modern theater itself.
and it's still okay..
the worse come when theatre as a place to presents our life, has become a tool to create money only! only look what's good now, what's hot now and bring it all on theater!

as a matter that theater is present our life.. and those messy and ugly thing could affecting people's mind and worst, their way of thinking and behavior...

imagine if that become a culture!!!

and so on,,, Mr Adi told us about the important elements in theater..
those are..
- script writer
- actor / actress
- music organizer
- artistic organizer
- producer
...and they all directed by the director!

in theater, we need ACTING...
including expression, soulness, and interesting...
we need these 3 things to enliven our acting.

MORAL..
is a commitment of someone to do what he believe is a truth!

one ho knows that this A thing is wrong, but still however, do it, is an Amoral person!

there 3 things that we need to develop in every man self..
they are.. FEEL, THOUGHT, AWARENESS.

FEEL
there are 2 potential things...EMOTION and SENSATION
emotion here such as angry, happy, disappointed, hate, etc..
it's all natural. you don't have to learn how to happy.. when you are happy, you just be happy at that time..

SENSATION
is a person's ability to give his trace of feel to others (so that one can get the feel that he wants!)
for example.. want to be loved.. how? acting childish, ask softly, etc.
and to do these things, we need to practice and learn! if not, it can be a horrible thing comes out.. and who will want to give you a feeling that you want????
hehehe..

if emotion and sensation are balance.. then, it's a great thing! we got the EQ!

THOUGHT
there are 4 potentional on it..
1. Logic
it's for knowing which one is right and not. it has to be developed well, so that we really know which is good or not.. not just we heard it for someone and take it as the real good thing!
2. Imagination
for the developed ideas. so we could be creative. not just stuck in one thing and one way
3. Memory
the one that can make us compare if we are better than before or not.
with memory we can remember all the things we've been through and take it as mirror to our self. Make a note!
4. Faith
make us not scare! n grow our believe feeling!

AWARENESS
no potentional in here.. it just come along itself in our self..

SENSATION+EMOTION+LOGIC=EMPATHY=SYMPHATY=SOLIDARITY!

need references

well... for about 4 months later, our Theatre from Petra Christian University will held a performance called INSPEKTUR JENDRAL.

this is a theatre play with a base theme about social issue n political things. hope you who interested in this kind of performance may order the ticket.

but actually, what i need is a references about the costumes!

this play set in 1945. in Batavia (now jakarta).

what i need is the women's costume (kebaya-1945), the jendral costume (batavian style a li'l bit western), the civil workers (bupati, postman, teacher, doctor @ that era)

well, hope you who are reading this blog could help me..
