Adalah wajar kalau kita merasa aneh atau awkward dengan seorang stranger, atau orang yang baru kita temui. Ya sudah pastilah.. Lha namanya aja baru tahu tadi. Belum tentu juga tahu usianya. Mau tanya takut disangka ngga sopan. tapi kalau ngga tanya, nanti guyonannya ngga nyambung gimana, berabe kan? Mau becanda ala biasanya, takut nanti orangnya sayensitip jadi tersinggung. Atau jangan-jangan orangnya super lemot, jadi ngomong apa aja doi cuma plonga-plongo ngga ngerti kita lagi obrolin apa.

Haha..

Pikiran-pikiran seperti itu pasti bisa muncul saat kita pertama kali ketemu atau dikenalin ke orang baru.

Seiring berjalannya waktu tentu kita akan makin tahu dan mengenal seseorang. Entah nantinya kita akan kenal baiiiikkk banget atau ya sekedar tahu kalau orang ini agak sensi kalau ngomongin umur, atau tentang "kapan kewooonggg?" gitu.

His full name is James Allen Otto.. Born July 29, 1973.

Just Got Started Lovin' You became his number 1 big hit in 2008.. No wonder, guys, the song is terrific! Aaaahhhh!!!

Michael Learns To Rock LIVE IN INDONESIA Concert

That part of lyric above seriously must be very familiar in our beloved ears. And I was one of among hundreds people last night (Dec 4th, 2012) who fortunately able to watched and listened to Michael learns To Rock (MLTR) LIVE! :D

The Tickets. - Eva Tarida Pict

It's not their first concert in Indonesia. In 2005, they already held a concert here in 6 cities, including Surabaya. For 2012, they held the concert in 3 cities only: Balikpapan (Nov 29th), Jogjakarta (Dec 1st), and last but not least, Surabaya (Dec 4th). :D. 

I wasn't able to attend their concert back then in 2005, so then when one of my MLTR freak, San-San informed about MLTR around 2 months ago, I immediately search for any news! And Bought the ticket if available! At that time, the ticket wasn't available yet, so we just planned to go. but unfortunately, when we found out the concert date was on Dec 4th, San-San couldn't attend it. She was expecting, and Mid Dec 2012 is her due date. On October, one of my best friends, who also Oldies Maniac, Arlitaria suddenly sent me a message, that one of her friend was went to bought MLTR ticket! Do I need time to think?? NO!! I even ordered for 2 tickets (one for my BF, without his permission! hahahaha - but I believed he'd be just happy! Haha).

For short, here we come in to Dec 4th, 2012. 

I permitted myself to go home earlier. Got prepared, and drove to Gramedia Expo, Surabaya with my BF. The line wasn't that long, so we just had to waited for Arlita and her friends, then we joined the line to came in. Our tickets were in Festival B class (the cheapest :p). But, it won't hold us from enjoying today's concert.

We waited for almost an hour before the concert started. Because they didn't provide us with the opening band, it was a bit uncomfortable to waited for an hour there. Then around 8 PM, suddenly the room was blackout, and some Lights-form on stage's LCD were playing, and there they were entering the stage! Jascha Richter (vocalist), Mikkel Lentz (guitarist) dan Kåre Wanscher (drummer), and additional bassist who replaced their former bassist, Soren Madsen, started to play their song from their Scandinavia album. The song called Renovate My Life. Thank God I already bought their CD few months back, so I was a bit familiar with this song.

Right after Renovate My Life finished, they greeted us! "Hello Surabaya!! Finally we've got to see you guys again!," greeted Jascha which gained the screams from us as a response! :D

Then, not much talking, the Sleeping Child intro was filling the air!! Whoaa!! the crowd went crazy!! :D

MLTR really didn't waste our time during their concert. After 1 song finished, they always said "Thank You...." and then continued to gave us brief description about the next song.

One of their Big Hit, The Actor was sung on 7th song on their list. Jascha gave a brief entrance that he wrote this song while he still had nothing, and by then if you wanted to had a GF, you need to had a car to impressed them. So then, The Actor was on the air!! Of course, everybody cheered and sang along!! Then, suddenly they walked out of the stage, and the crowd went crazy because we wanted more! OF COURSE! And they kept us waiting for a minute or two, suddenly mikkel came out with acoustic guitar and played the intro of my FAVE MLTR song, I'M GONNA BE AROUND!! And the crowd (ME of course) screamed out loud! We sang along together with Jascha!

What envied us was, on some slow-romance song, Jascha would stepped down the stage, and greeted the VIP guests personally!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!! I WANTED IT!! No, WE WANTED IT!!! XD

Just 1 thing, on some great songs like Complicated Heart, Blue Night, Wild Women, 25 Minutes, not everybody seemed familiar with those song. Perhaps, they only noticed MLTR by MLTR's greatest Hits such as "That's Why You Go Away" "Sleeping Child" "The Actor". Even Someday, which video made in Bali, wasn't familiar for most of the attendances.. But NOT including Me, My BF, My Bestfriend, Arlita, and 2 other women we met there :D We can sang around 20-21 of 23 songs that night!!

When they played You Took My Heart Away, almost all of us could sang it. And then Mikkel made a comment "Wow, It's like karaoke you know" :D

Awesome super awesome! After about 20 songs, they said goodbye.. but hey, we're not that amateur on Concert attending! So we knew exactly that was just a teaser for another 2 or 3 songs. So, I started to yelled "WE WANT MORE" and the crowd yelled WE WANT MORE together! And there the 3 of them played the intro of Bryan Adam's Everything I Do to jumped in to "That's Why You Go Away" whoooaaaaa!!!!! We went craaaaaazzzyy again!! ;):)
Over all, they ended thonight's concert with Paint My Love and Scandinavia ;)

AH! One again I forgot to mention! When they sang 25 Minutes, suddenly after the bridge, they inserted the refrain part of All Out Of Love from Air Supply! Can you imagine it?? Whoaaaa!! Don't! just come to their concerts!!! I guarantee your satisfaction!! Their voice and performance just as great as the cassettes, CDs, VCDs, etc, etc!!! Really good voice and music performance! :D

Around 10.20 PM the show was over, and we went home, Of course with special slide on the stage from MLTR! :)

 WOOHOOO!!

After Firehouse concert has done last year, I am heading to Mr. Big concert :D

Read an update on the twitter, me and my friend, San-san suddenly connected each other and contacted each other that Mr. Big would held a concert in Surabaya!  Followed the updates from @Guinnessid , San-san checked the Rajakarcis.com to booked the pre-sale ticket. There, we got the tickets! My two sisters also joined along to watched the concert.

Anyway, this concert held in 60 countries, Indonesia in one of them, and they chose 4 big cities: Jakarta, Medan, Surabaya, Makassar. This is to commemorate the Arthur Guinness - The founder of Guinness - day.

For short, on Dec 7th, 2011

I asked my boss to left the office earlier. Then I drove back home, got prepared and went to Grand City with my sister to met another friends there. Oh, btw, San-san cancelled her presence due to work matter. So then I overhanded the ticket to another friend. He paid of course :)

There was a very long line of queue. It wasn't just a line, but two very long lines. While we were queuing, one of the committee said that we could directly came in to the concert hall from the mall. So, Half of us went up to the mall and had a queue there.The security check was very strict. But that's very oke with me :) Plus, they didn't allow anyone to smoke during the concert! GREAT! :)

We got a cool rubber bracelet that contained with ID. We have to registered first, then we could took a photo at the photo booth they had. What fun was that the photo could automatically shared on our facebook (registered ones) and would be shown in big screen later. Well, I saw my pict on the big screen several times :D And if we post a tweet using the #ArthursDay hashtag, it'd also shown in the big screen's running text. Saw mine also :D That happened all the way during the show. Plus, if we showed that bracelet, we could got a free one slim can Guinness beer :)

Aaahh.. They also sell the limited edition signed Mr. Big latest original CD. I really wanted to bought it. But, I ran out of money, and not much time to ran down the stairs to withdrew some money from ATM.. HIX. I REGRET THIS SO MUCH!!! :(

OPENING ACT

At first, I thought we'd also have /RIF as the opening act. As I read on @Guinnessid twitter timeline, in Medan, Mr. Big concert was opened by /RIF. I am actually one of /RIF big fans :D. But different city, different surprise! The committee brought us NETRAL!! The crowd was going crazy with Netral rock show! They sang several songs, and ended with the famous nationality-breathed song 'Garuda di Dadaku"

After Netral finished their performance the crowd went crazier! We yelled MR. BIG!! MR. BIG!! MR. BIG!! MR. BIG!!. Then, the light went off, Eric Martin (vokal), Paul Gilbert (gitar), Billy Sheehan (bass), dan Pat Torpey (drum) came out and had a check sound. Note: This was also one big reason why people really attracted to came in to MR. BIG concert! They came with the first full team.. AAAAAAAAHHH!!!

Their preparation was a bit long there, but we could enjoyed the video they played on big screen shown the other concert they've done. I saw Westlife, and a bit regretting my self for not attending their concert..

Then, suddenly the lights went ON and MR. BIG is THERE!! They smashed us with "Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy"!! Who doesn't know this song, brothers and sisters?? We sang all along! It was AMAZING!! They had the atmosphere!!

You know what, to watch them live and witnessed the super SOLO SKILLS Performance by Paul Gilbert and Billy Sheehan was just like magic!!!! Paul did around 2 or 3 times solo skill performances. He played like on the way to orgasm! and stopped when he already on 'peak'!! And what the crowd did? We couldn't do anything but surprised, gazed and stared with amazed feeling!! Oh My GOODNESS!!!

And don't forget about Billy! He tapped that bass just like ukulele! Very easy for him! Amazing! And we also got a battle by Paul and Billy on stage!

We cheered all the way there. The tempo in the concert hall was so dynamic. They rocked us and then soothed us with the super songs list. They also greeted us several time with Indonesian language, and replaced 'Thank you" with 'Terima kasih' :) :)
With thousands of tickets sold out, I believe you could imagine how the crowd was! CRAZY!

After several songs, Mr. Big gave us minutes to break. And of course they drank that Guinness beers :D. They acted like the concert has done. But of course we cried for MORE MORE MORE and MOOOOREEE!!! Eric grabbed the mike, paul played the intro, aaaaaand.. 'Hold On Little Girl, show me what he's done to you..." TO BE WITH YOU LIVE ON STAGE!!!!!. And not just stopped right there, they put also WILD WORLD together in a row!!

These two ballads songs, as we all know, were superb!

Finish? uh-huh! Do not underestimate this concert, lads! They suddenly switched the role! Eric to guitar, Paul to Drum, Pat to Bass, and Billy grabbed the mic! New formation!! Super surprised! But they keep surprising us again to let us shocked by switching the role again, and now Pat lead the vocal, everybody!!!!

Happy Christmas

And..... December is coming!!!! :D

The most expected month in a year, I believe is December! :) Especially the Christmas day.

All the cheerful already sounding all over the town and comes out from everybody. I don't know what this December has, but always, a grateful month.

As I also celebrating Christmas, preparation of Christmas tree is done. We are not buying the new one, just placing again the old Christmas tree, but perhaps adding some new Christmas tree decorations. Can't wait to build up this tree :)

dimulai dari saya dan pacar saya, Rama pergi ke karaoke keluarga. Dia memilih salah satu lagu yang dia bilang bagus dan saya pasti suka. Rama bilang kalau lagu ini dulu tahun 2009 sudah pernah dia perdengarkan ke saya tapi saya tak acuh saja waktu itu. Selain itu saya juga punya masalah short-term memory lost. HAHA..

Well, for short, bener-bener saya jatuh cinta pada lagu itu. Judulnya Chicken Fried. Dinyanyikan oleh Zac Brown Band. Penyanyi + gitarisnya wajahnya seperti Seth Rogen mixed with Zach Galifianakis.. LOL!!

Anw, nuansa yang dibawa Zac Brown Band ini adalah country. And since I already declare myself as a Pop-Country woman, this song really have my ears :)

Asal tahu saja, Zac Brown Band sudah mendapatkan berbagai nominasi dan awards. Empat nominasi di 2009 CMA Awards: New Artist of The Year, Song of the Year, Singleof the Year, dan Music Video of the Year untuk lagu Chicken Fried ini. :) Di 2009 juga, mereka menyabet tiga nominasi Grammy Awards untuk kategori Best Country Album, Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals, dan Best New Artist. Dan di 2010, mereka memenangkan Grammy untuk Best New Artist.

Selain Chicken Fried, telinga saya juga sangat dimanjakan oleh lagu Toes (asyik banget nuansa pantai Hula-hula), Colder Weather (lebih love ballad), dan Whatever It Is (MUCH MORE romantic than Bruno Mars' Just The Way You Are!!)

All my best friends, or those who get real close to me will barely know that I am a Whitney Houston lover.

She's not beautiful yet not that so fashionable IMO. But the time she starts to sing, none of the crowd will move! I believe the crowd will gaze and amazed!

Even Oprah, in her exclusive interview with Whitney, claimed that She's a woman with the voice of national treasure! This episode means a lot to me! I even cried several times knowing how hard Whitney had to got through on her ruined up marriage.

What was Bobby Meant to Whitney? her Drugs, her world.

"He was my drug. I didn't do anything without him. I wasn't getting high by myself. It was me and him together, and we were partners, and that's what my high was — him. He and I being together, and whatever we did, we did it together. No matter what, we did it together." (source)

Those one time when Whitney said that she even sacrificed her glory of fame (she dim her light) so that her bad-ass ex husband Bobby Brown could light up more and got no jealous of her! SIGH! 

This one sentence I remember when Whitney told the crowd "I'm Mrs. Brown everybody. Don't call me Ms. Houston." Hooow Lovely attitude that got none of a bit appreciate from that ex-Hubby!

Whitney, the woman with all those glory she had, was already gave up all for her beloved ones, Bobby, who never appreciate it at all.


A bit conversation when Bobby slapped Whitney during the probation which made her had to put him in jail:

Whitney: Yeah, you can't slap somebody when you're on probation. You're in violation then. So it went to domestic violence court, and I just could not see me putting him in jail.

Oprah: So were you always appearing and making those court appearances because you felt you had to stand by your man?

Whitney: I had to. Yeah, I'm his wife.  

Oprah: You know what I get now that I didn't get then as just an observer in the world? ... What I now get is that you took those vows seriously.

For Whitney, Marriage vow is EVERYTHING. That's why she was doing all the best she could to be Bobby's best wife. Speechless.....


What was very great is that even tho in such darkness time, Whitney still realized she needed to find light from God! So, she never stops to read the bible... No matter how high she was, or how sober she was.. She knew that the God is there, all she needed to do was come back to the light again. Amazingly awesome. 

Then came her Mommy and said  'I'm not losing you to the world. I'm not losing you to Satan. I want my daughter back. I want you back. I want to see that glow in your eyes. That light in your eyes. I want to see the child I raised. And you weren't raised like this. And I'm not having it. So you make a choice, and you make it here today because I have a court injunction that says you have to go." 

That's the 2 points I love.

1. The ability to still realizing God and

2. Support from the very best person!

Learn to Love Yourself

There is always hard times on our life. Just as we can recall on famous line "Shit Happens Every Time", it's our job to decide how to react.
When we are facing a big wall, we need to decide, what would we do with that fvcking wall.
Will we, cry all over our tears in front of that wall?
Will we, try to climb up that wall?
Will we, get mad and kick that wall al over its surface?
Will we, throw sworn vows to the wall?
Will we, go and get a hammer or tools to stumble it down?
Will we, go and looking for a help from another party?
Will we, screaming out loud for a help and hoping someone'd hear?

It's our own free will to decide how to react, how to give ourselves a solution. And never regret what our choice will cause us. The thing is, we have to always remember on ourselves. Learining to love ourselves before we decided to choose the dreadful choice.
There's one great song, originally taped by George Benson, man who sings Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You like heaven! And later internationally popularized by my all time fave singer, Whitney Houston.

It came with a great background when Michael Masser and Linda Creed wrote this awesome song. Creed wrote the lyrics in the middle of her struggle with Breast Cancer. The words describe her feelings about the great challenges she had to face, being strong whether you fail or succeed, and passing those strengths to the children for their adult lives later. A Call From the Vatican

As you guys may read on my previous post about NINE movie, there's a song that I like the most. Sung by Penélope Cruz, with a very sexy teasing dance that I believe will gain all the attention of the audience. 

The song was sung in a scene where Guido in the bed to rest while the doctor and nurse checking on him. Carla (Penelope's cast here) is calling from a distance and start seducing Guido. Well.. you could imagine the seducing voices from remote place you listen, while you have to still realize that you are in a room with a doctor and a nurse.

NINE - The Movie

I forgot to make a post of one of my fave movies. NINE. It's a musical movie. However, I always love musical movies - with good story line, good act -

 What makes this movie so special? 

First of all the promise of the Italian atmosphere. That impressed me for sure. Next, the present of Marion Cotillard (Academy Award winning) and Penélope Cruz as a very good teaser!

I was already amazed with how the Guido Contini confusion at the very first beginning of scene. Way he said that his turn to 50 body can not cooperate with his still 10 years old mind. Let me just share you the story. I am not based on the imdb or whatever summaries. I will share the NINE story line from what I already watched :)

NINE; The Women - Eva Tarida Blog

The story focused on Guido Contini ( Daniel Day - Lewis) who is a director of lots of famous show in Italy. His fame fading slowly together with his productivity of directing. Then came on of his good friend, offers him to direct one good show. The one which promoted to be a BIG Bang show in Italy.

There, Guido prepared everything. They even moved out to another city to get the atmosphere. 

However, Guido as a very ambitious and self centered person, find it hard to running his life. A lot of questions keep playing in his mind. Too bad that he make it more complicated by playing with his own life. 

He played with his mistress, Carla (Penélope Cruz) and lied a lot to his beloved - sacrifice Wife, Luisa Contini (Marion Cotillard).

It doesn't stop just that. The complexion larger when good-charming actress keep coming and seducing him, which also got place in his eyes of interest. You name it, Claudia (Nicole Kidman), and Stephanie (Kate Hudson)

In My Opinion, Kate Hudson not really click with this whole exotic movie. She's too America and Pop in this movie. Too bad.

The other hand, also a life of Saraghina (Fergie - BEP), which also has a tough hard life, and she even gain some money from local little 8-10 years old boys who loves to watch her doing the sexy dance on the beach.

Lucky Guido, her Wife, Luisa is all the thing everybody wants. Beautiful, an actress also before she married to Guido and decided to become a full time wife, has a brilliant brain and art-sense. Guido also supported by his loyal assistant, Lili ( Judi Dench ).

Thing become worst, when Guido invites Carla to his shooting area, and then his wife is coming too. Luisa fund out, and decided that this is it. This unhealthy relationship should end.

While Guido, keep begging Luisa for not leaving. But it's too late. Luisa already sacrificed everything and got betrayed by her only love.

The desperado of Guido become worse and worse.

However, I love the Luisa Contini role here :)
