The Damned United

This post is just a teaser. 

Me and my boyfriend are football maniacs. We love watching football/soccer, the games, the players, the analysis, the rumors, the news, the movie about it, etc.

Well, beside GOAL, GOAL 2, GOAL 3, and Green Street Hooligan, there is also one good Football movie, entitled: The Damned United. NOT Manchester United, but Leeds United. I don't like MU by the way. The only thing I like on MU is David Beckham. Period. 

Okay, back to The Damned United. My boyfriend and I searched for this movie all the way. I surfed also in the internet, but all I got was "Sorry, Sold out" :( But then, for the sake of big curiosity and desire-fullfilness, I surfed more and more, and I found this website. Ahahahaa.. Yeah! Thanks GOD!

Exactly on Dec 7th, 2011, the DVD arrived safely at home. I watched it for around 30 minutes only. I was just got back from watching the Mr. Big concert :p so, i was too tired to watched it full.

The first 30 minutes was amazing. Please wait a while so that I can post the full review and opinion :D

A Call From the Vatican

As you guys may read on my previous post about NINE movie, there's a song that I like the most. Sung by Penélope Cruz, with a very sexy teasing dance that I believe will gain all the attention of the audience. 

The song was sung in a scene where Guido in the bed to rest while the doctor and nurse checking on him. Carla (Penelope's cast here) is calling from a distance and start seducing Guido. Well.. you could imagine the seducing voices from remote place you listen, while you have to still realize that you are in a room with a doctor and a nurse.

NINE - The Movie

I forgot to make a post of one of my fave movies. NINE. It's a musical movie. However, I always love musical movies - with good story line, good act -

 What makes this movie so special? 

First of all the promise of the Italian atmosphere. That impressed me for sure. Next, the present of Marion Cotillard (Academy Award winning) and Penélope Cruz as a very good teaser!

I was already amazed with how the Guido Contini confusion at the very first beginning of scene. Way he said that his turn to 50 body can not cooperate with his still 10 years old mind. Let me just share you the story. I am not based on the imdb or whatever summaries. I will share the NINE story line from what I already watched :)

NINE; The Women - Eva Tarida Blog

The story focused on Guido Contini ( Daniel Day - Lewis) who is a director of lots of famous show in Italy. His fame fading slowly together with his productivity of directing. Then came on of his good friend, offers him to direct one good show. The one which promoted to be a BIG Bang show in Italy.

There, Guido prepared everything. They even moved out to another city to get the atmosphere. 

However, Guido as a very ambitious and self centered person, find it hard to running his life. A lot of questions keep playing in his mind. Too bad that he make it more complicated by playing with his own life. 

He played with his mistress, Carla (Penélope Cruz) and lied a lot to his beloved - sacrifice Wife, Luisa Contini (Marion Cotillard).

It doesn't stop just that. The complexion larger when good-charming actress keep coming and seducing him, which also got place in his eyes of interest. You name it, Claudia (Nicole Kidman), and Stephanie (Kate Hudson)

In My Opinion, Kate Hudson not really click with this whole exotic movie. She's too America and Pop in this movie. Too bad.

The other hand, also a life of Saraghina (Fergie - BEP), which also has a tough hard life, and she even gain some money from local little 8-10 years old boys who loves to watch her doing the sexy dance on the beach.

Lucky Guido, her Wife, Luisa is all the thing everybody wants. Beautiful, an actress also before she married to Guido and decided to become a full time wife, has a brilliant brain and art-sense. Guido also supported by his loyal assistant, Lili ( Judi Dench ).

Thing become worst, when Guido invites Carla to his shooting area, and then his wife is coming too. Luisa fund out, and decided that this is it. This unhealthy relationship should end.

While Guido, keep begging Luisa for not leaving. But it's too late. Luisa already sacrificed everything and got betrayed by her only love.

The desperado of Guido become worse and worse.

yang..ehm..menurutku pribadi cukup menganggu..hahaha... apalagi mereka berdua tidak menyuguhkan akting yang menarik untuk dinikmati. kesannya seperti ingin meletakkan unsur 'anak muda' yang memang sekarang lagi musim dalam film ini.

tapi, salah satu alasan aku mau juga nonton ya karena ada Jessica Alba my favorite actress ever!!

overall, the story of this movie isn't so...uhm..
what is to say in word..
not so...fabulous.

but.. the contain of the movie!
the messages it brings..
the effects it use..
the technology..
the gadgets...
the character of each player
they are sooooooooooo great!
those things i mentioned are completing this movie..

the message about what human really is was brought when the Shio's scene..
it's when 2 ships which contain different kinda people, one is all prisoners, and the other is just ordinary citizens..
they had a detonator each, and told, that before midnight, the joker will protect the one that push the detonator..which means, blow away the other ship..
joker believes that inside, everyone is evil..

but, well..
the ship that contains prisoner chose first their step..
by one big prisoner, he throw the detonator away in to the sea..
man..
i was amazed with that act..

and the other ship, even a citizen take the detonator and want to push it, but, then he put the detonator again..

and so... there was no firework like the joker has planned...

none of the ship has blown.. because they are want to live together and still have a humanity,,,
they do believe that the other ship won't blow them away...

wooow...

well.. this movie is a little too hard than another super heroes movie..
but, the violence scene also so felt in here..

but,,,the batman kills no one in this movie, but the 2 faces.. but that only in case he wants to save the gordon's son life..

fyi..the batman appearances always surprising..
whoooo... He always come appears and gone in great ways..

the Joker itself..

i mean it when i say I love Heath's acting..
i do really like him acting since the 10 things I hate about U..
and then come the brokeback mountain, and ned kelly..
wow..
he got all casts.. all character..

but, yeah, we''ll never see him again in real world and in a new movie..

beside those violences and cruelness.. the batman movie also give us enough time to laugh with the joker appearance..
with his silly does when he is blowing a hospital.. it's become so funny, because his tool was a little bit stuck..
haha..

so, when he came out with the background an on progress of blown away hospital, suddenly the progress stops because the tools is stuck!!

haaaahahahahaha..
u should watch how was the joker's face..
hahaha.....

Hmmm..

one of this year's most controverting movie...

at first, I don't get either what this man actually means by making this kind of movie..

but, well anything happens for reasons..

before we yelling and shouting, and boycotting, and stuffs like that,,,
we should see what's exactly behind this...

emmm... according to his statement about this movie, I can say that he just doing what most people say..

I mean.. he made a realization of many people whispered..

but, well...
this is a global world..

maybe he should pay attention that this world is sensitive...

and

I am here just being NEUTRAL..

I haven't watch the movie yet..

so then, I cannot write too much,,,

It's just so interesting to me..
