(Not) Getting Married (Yet)

Diamond Ring on My Hand :) - Evatarida - @evatarida - evataridablog - evataridasitompul

"I don't know about you, but I'm feeling twenty two! [Taylor Swift]" no, I'm not 22, I'm in fact 28. I already on my late 20s, and closer to 30 haha. Problem? No, not at all. For me. But it seems like it becomes problem for those around me.  Why?

I'm still single.

Watch Out for Your Statement

Jadi, kemarin (18 November 2014) saya nonton Indonesia Lawak Klub (ILK). Seperti Biasa, topiknya aktual, tentang kenaikan BBM.

.... Mulailah berpikir sebagai bangsa..."

Jungkir Balik Dunia Kita

Training Phase 3

There..
I forgot to told you guys that I already passed my 2nd phase training! YEEAAAYYYYY!!!!

the 2nd phase training should've been scheduled for 3 months only. But, due to the festive moments, lots of visit from our colleague from overseas, thus, I done my 2nd phase in 5 months. Woohoo...
So, let's make a simple calculation.

the training period is 11 months.
1st phase: early Jan to mid April (almost 4 months)
2nd phase: mid april to mid September (5 months)
there.. I've done 9 months for sure. And for my 3rd phase, I only have 2 months left!! Dear Lord. Where it supposed to be 6 months long for this 3rd phase. x_X gee...

So, it only means one thing: Super Speed!!

I have to have faster speed to chase all I need to know and understand in only 2.5 months!

thank God that my colleagues are the best :)

Anw, my boss, Mr. MA was moved into another function. So, only 0.5 month with him in this 3rd phase, and I moved on with Mrs. Sisca as my new boss :)

Mr. mario is awesome and rock as heaven and hell! I really grateful to have had a boss like him.

a bit in my concern when i heard he'll be replaced.. But.. just like the old saying says, get to Know me, then you'll Love Me. and it applied in mrs. Sisca :) She's awesome toom you know! Very smart and cool. :)

So.. I thank God again for replacing my awesome boss with another awesome boss :) :) :)

i do hope I can pass this 3rd phase excellently!! :D

God Bless me!!

When The Going is Easy, You May Headed Downhill

The title above I chose exactly to express what I've been through the past 3 months (and going).
Like I've told you before, I am having a training in my new job place.
Here, I have to push hard and harder to what I actually have and carry as my potential. Or else, I will fail.
It's precisely not as easy as a single click to do for me. I really have to learn a lot, and have a great determination. Plus, it's really a brand new thing for me.

I almost gave up on my 1st month. And, again I almost don't give a f*ck after my 2nd month on my 1st trial presentation at Area's office. But hey, no diamonds are made without hard tempt!
Big thanks to all mentors, that on my 2nd trial presentation, I have a lot of lights to complete my presentation.
There I always remind myself, that I've made such effort to held this position. And I only 3 steps away to make it permanent (3 phases of training).

Less than 2 weeks, I am going to have my 1st phase presentation. there I'll present all that I've learnt and improved during the 1st 3 months training. I run as fast as I could to chase what I got left behind, and prepare my presentation as GREAT as I can :)
It's me, btw! I never wan to accept any 'fail' word!!

And one sticky note from thingsweforgetblog really had my mind; When The Going Is Easy, You May Headed Downhill. If we want to reach the peak, we have to climb up, with every strength we have, and with every tools we have.
So, here I am, in the middle of my presentation preparation, in the area office, again gain all my spirit and will for next Monday's trial presentation! HUH-HAH!
God Bless Me!!

a sneak peek of my presentation ;)

My Online Shop

Just crossed my mind one day to have another income. My dream is to have my own work. Whether it's restaurant or shop or whatever. Looking at my too much clothes and shoes, I decided to sell them with special price. You know, the secondhand things.
Then I made a blog on February 2012. It was first only for my used wardrobe or my new-but never been used wardrobe's shop-window. Then I found out that on Blog, this selling thing didn't affect too much.
So, on my way to office, I sometimes listens to the radio. One of their routine ad-lips was about a website for online shopping. So, I decided to also make one there. Well then, I officially starting my Online shop :)

Wonderful Day with My Car

Whatta Life Whatta Life Whatta Life!  Somehow I kinda love using that phrase.
Well, talking about LIFE, on April 8th, 2012 (last Friday), I experienced one of wonderful time in my life. I had to call it wonderful you know. I'll tell you why I had to call it wonderful.

So it was Friday, and almost everybody in my office was out. Some was went home earlier, some went out earlier for meeting purpose. Whatever. On 4.15 PM, I felt like I wanted to went home earlier. Besides, all the work were already done. First floor, where I worked already empty (Seriously. Everybody on first floor already left earlier), so on 4.30 PM I decided to got off.

Manusia Itu...

With Friends. Have Fun. Eva Tarida Pict

~ Tessho Iwashiro (Wild Life .22)

24 Years Old Already

Been 24 years of miracle already. For this premature born girl who about to died at her very first baby cry.
@Twitter - Feb 10th, 2012. 08:20 WIB.

Lousy opening? Nope. This was real. I was born as a premature baby girl. 8 months only. With height not longer than a 30 centimeters ruler. I was only ca. 20 cms. And as it's not sad enough, I was very weak and couldn't consumed any supply of nutrition after birth. My mom couldn't breast-feed me because I always threw up every time  i got breast-feed. And so does another liquid or food. So, the doctor decided to had an injection of infuse which contained nutrition, food, etc for me.

Done? Nope. As already mentioned before that I was very weak, my skin tone was too much pale, and I was too small. My dad even often compared me like this "just the same height like a bottle of instant ketchup" OMG..
So, not just infuse, but also i had to slept in the incubator for weeks. The whole family keep praying. Because, there's a possibility I would passed away for the inability of food supply.

I was the first child in my family by the way.

And, yes, My mom was actually a bit stressed down while she was pregnant. -- This is a warning Ladies and gentlemen! Never stressed any pregnant woman! The stress a mother carry, will impact the baby directly!

And, for short, for the effort of whole family, and big mercy of God, here I am still breathing the air on my 24th Birthday! :)
I am having a loving family, Bunch of friends around me, a loving boyfriend, graduated with awesome GP, my Job.. Well, you'll never know what would life bring you. Just like Forrest Gump said; life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.

Post in the middle of work

Oh My.

Well, sudahlah. Daripada saya khawatir-khawatir sendiri, mendingan sekarang saya berhenti nge-blog ditengah jam kantor, dan segera ke ruang makan, karena Ibu Director saya baru saja menyelesaikan proses bikin kue Brownies coklatnya :9 yuuummmmyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy  ;p

At night, July 13th, 2011.. I sent a message to my colleagues at the office and of course my Boss also through Blackberry Messenger.
Here is my message:

Japanese

Kalau lagi mantengin twitter.com seringkali, salah seorang teman saya, @indonesianly bertutur mengenai pekerjaannya.

Simply because I am working in Export-Import Trading fields

The Tweets from @Evatarida by Eva Tarida
Dalam 5 tweets tersebut saya menulis:
1) Japanese really concern with time. U promised to pick them at 8, u arrive 7.55, the Japanese already there!
2) Trust is the main thing! Once we have their trust, everything will be fine - as long as we are not ruining it.
3) Once you lost their trust, it'd be super hard to gain it back. A very hard! Especially in business matter.
4) When we are a newbie, they'll give u international jobs with local salary. Sad? Yeah! But it's the time to prove yourself and gain more.
5) Never give stupid reason(s). Traffic jam will be a boomerang for u. Better direct give apology. Reasons only if really meant!

But it's worth it ;). Oke, singkatnya, janjian pukul 10 di salah satu cafe. Seperti yang saya tulis di tweet nomor 1 saya, maka sebelum jam 10 kolega saya dan rekanan dari Jepangnya sudah menunggu di Cafe (which he and the Japanese had a very fun time last night until dawn).

What happened next? Selamat pagi." Senyum. Jabat tangan. pergi. Bye-bye. No Business.

Yup!
Yap. Very interesting. :) Hope we can adapt their positive in Discipline and appreciate the time more and more :)

A Simple Compliment

Why do I write this? Nothing but my precious experience.
Okay, let me have a bit of your spare time, and I'm sorry in advance if you have to jumping with the not-inline-texts :)

After graduated, I quit my more than a year part time job, and had a free time for around a week or two. Then, I decided to picked up the phone and call one of the offered job. Across there, the receiver was friendly, and she asked me to came by tomorrow. alright, u can see the recap of that story here.

The First thing that should be asked to me is: WHY? Why this kind a job? This one is a very new field which I never involved before. But yeah, I couldn't even answered that. Not that day, not now,or maybe not too tomorrow.

It was a bit hard for me. Well, okay I confess, very hard. You know, to work in some kinda brand new type of working, brand new job desc, and whatever, was a bit stressed me. okay, a lot!
FYI, in my 4th month working there (I was in probation for 3-6 months. Management Trainee for word), the boss called me up and said a thing and two that shocked me. I was never felt very fail before. And yes, that was the time! And I have to admitted that I wasn't very bright! And my dear boss gave me another 1month probation to prove myself.
Thanks God, I had a super companions there, and they supported me, and helped me out to do the Priority scale - which in fact, I never did that before :D -
And guess what, in the early 2011, the boss called me up again. Not just gave me my commission, They said a very bright words to me. Compliment! Compliment because I prove myself for being better and better! And they wish a very better me for the next facing months or years :)

That day was amazing! I was super happy, and yes, more often, I can do my job well. Some sort of annoyance of course, but with a better skill of work, and a great team work, we can do it better and better and better.

Last, but not least, when my boss asked me to create a letter to our principals and customers - due to our internal gathering of 25th anniversary - with of course the flowery words for being 25 years great companions, I was a bit confuse. Well, I love writing, but a formal flowery words announcement letter was a new one :) and I wasn't planned to fail!
So, I made it first in Bahasa Indonesia, asked for any input from my collages, and guess what I received in my email this morning after I submitted the letter to my boss?

here is her email for me -uncut- :

Dear valuable EVA
your letter is EXCELLENT!!!
thanks alot
we really are amazed with you !!=)
keep up the good work.
-Angeline

A simple compliment for a simple task, can just suddenly brighten my day! I bet you'll feel the same was as I did :)
So then, when we are in my boss' position, please don't ever mind to give compliment. No matter how easy the task is. We should realize that small task from us might be a big task for anyone. And a simple compliment will drive our passion more and more.

:)

have a great work.

Where Will I Go After This?

I was having a chat someday with one of my friend. Good friend actually. We were met on college for took the same department and then we always shared the same class. Until we chose the same concentration, which made us together longer and more often.

However, am not going to have a nostalgic writings here. It's just our chatting few days ago reminded me about how our passion was. Passion about a subject, a field. We were struggling till whatever whenever wherever however, and we were kept up our best to fulfilled our passion at that time.

In the middle of the super warm chatting, she suddenly asked me "Va, do u still want to work in M field? or u just already settled with that office work?" I was stopped for a moment. Thinking. What would my answer be? A quick arguments jumped and rolled in my mind. Then I answered her "Yeah, of course that field still attracted me. But, yeah, right now, I'd love to do that when all condition is proper and the stuffs are suited" right a way she answered "hahahahahaaa.. yeah when all is suited. A very nice one. Yeah we have to re consider again and again and again..."

It was just a short chat, which made me think. Where will I go after this? keep gazing around in here, or jump in to the next better level of me? or follow the passion in me? or WHAT? geezee...

HOME Theater

HOME Theater Logo
Established in a very unique way on September 4th, 2010, HOME Theater keep getting closer and better.
We are bunch of people who definitely born for Theater!

actually, we were first member of Broomstick Theater, which is one of Student activities in our beloved campus, Petra Christian University. There, our relationship as friends, partners, and another family was built. A lot of ups and downs were happened there. We performed a lot, and held shows a lot.

Now, after we're graduated, we reunion and decided to make a next step of this Broomstick Theater. Then, a few of us, who already graduated from university held a small cozy meeting. After too much joking and stories telling about our lives each, then we decided to make one community. This one is profitable community. We are doing business. Yes, we're still brand new in this business, but we believe we'll not lost. Then, so, come the idea to name this friendly community after HOME Theater. No other reason, but we're family, and HOME is where we gather, have full comfortable, feel save, and place where we belong!

We had made up our first performance as HOME Theater family. In Mercure Grand Mirama Hotel. We're playing the role of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs. It was so awesome that the people who watched us there gave us such a glorious responses! Even, we can't even stop smiling and acting because the guests asked to have photos together with us.
Now and, we're in progress to another performance.

Spongebob

There was one time, a friend of mine sent me a short message via BlackBerry Messenger. Simple, but meaningful. Please enjoy.

"
WHY IS SPONGEBOB THE MOST IDEAL FRIEND?

Spongebob + Pattrick

Pattrick : He still loves me even if I'm stupid.
He ignores my weakness.

Spongebob + Squidward

Squidward : I always drive him away and yet he is still there for me.
He never left me behind.

Spongebob + Mr. Krabs

Mr. Krabs : He respects me though all I desire is money.
He respects what I want.

Spongebob + Sandy

Sandy : He is still my fried even though I'm a land squirrel and not a sea creature.
He accepts me despite our difference.

"

What do others learn from us? :)
